What to Expect
As a new client, you will be asked to arrive at the clinic ten minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment. There will be a health intake form for you to fill out.
Expect that there will be a health screening. We ask that you wear a mask at all times and cooperate with social-distancing and other health safety procedures outlined here.
If you are coming in for an auto or L&I insurance-billed massage appointment please fill out our online insurance form now. It’s our policy to verify your benefits before treatment.
At your appointment time, your therapist will greet you and show you to your treatment room. They will discuss, confidentially, your intake form, and any issues you may have regarding the treatment. They will then give you instructions about preparing yourself for massage and leave the room for your privacy and allow you to get settled in under the covers of a specialized massage table. They will knock before entering a few minutes later. When the massage is finished they will leave the room again, giving you privacy to dress and meet them in the reception area.
(Un)dress & Modesty
Your comfort is most important. Traditionally a client will be fully disrobed during their treatment but we encourage you to wear whatever clothing makes you feel comfortable. Your therapist will allow you undress in private and get under the covers before they rejoin you in the treatment room.
You will remain carefully draped by covers during the whole treatment session. Your therapist will uncover individual areas (an arm, a leg, your back, etc.) as they work on them and then recover them before moving on to the next. You’ll have time to dress in private after your session is over.
Our treatment rooms are warm, softly lit, and feature quiet music. Each room has a professional massage table and individual heating pads are available if needed. There is a chair for you to use (feel free to place any clothing on it) along with hooks for coats, etc., and a small tray for items like keys or jewelry.
